These pictures mean so much to me. I’ve been thinking a lot about my grandparents lately because my grandpa’s health has been suffering and my grandma has just begun another series of chemotherapy. Not long ago, she had many more chickens, but for all the unfortunate reasons listed above, she has downsized to this small batch of feathery friends. Visiting my grandparents this past December was such a gift and watching my grandma share her chickens with her great-grandson was a very special moment.
